Established in 1988, Italian-Japanese fusion restaurant Pronto has over 330 stores all over Japan. A café by day and bar by night, Pronto changes its menu and service style according to the time of the day. Pronto translates to “ready” in Italian, signifying that it is ready to serve diners when the customers visit.
In the morning, Pronto dishes out breakfast sets of grilled sandwiches and croissants, complete with aromatic Italian-style coffee and tea. One standout item of the breakfast menu is the Chill Brew, a morning cuppa which is brewed at a lower temperature than cold brew coffee to produce a natural sweetness, giving it a rich aroma.
During lunch, customers can order a reasonably-priced lunch set of pasta, a salad and a drink. Choose from a variety of pasta including the classic carbonara with prosciutto and rocket, aglio olio with scallop, pasta with basil sauce, salmon and avocado and more. Non-meat lovers need not worry – the menu includes truffle cream pasta with mushroom, and pasta with tomato sauce and mozzarella, to cater to the vegetarians.
Come night time, Pronto transforms into a bar, serving alcoholic beverages such as Japanese-style draft beer, Sangria and highball cocktails. There are also moreish plates on the evening menu to go with the alcohol, such as meat platters, chicken nanban and Angus beef steak.
Whatever you are craving at any time of the day, Pronto has something for you.
